How the Lion Got His Roar
NARRATOR: Once there was a lion who had a sore throat. There was Pig and Thunder, (they were the good guys.) There also was Snake Dude and his mother, Mother Snake, (they were the bad guys and show up later in the story). Pig and Thunder were strolling along when they heard moaning and groaning from the lion’s cave.
LION: Moan! Groan! Moooooaan! Grooaan!
NARRATOR: Thunder started laughing,
THUNDER: Ha, ha, ha, he, he, he.
NARRATOR: He thought it was pretty cool to hear Lion doing that. Then he looked at Pig who was frozen and quiet. Thunder was a little scared but didn’t want to seem like a colt. Then he started to talk to Pig. (Pig did unfreeze when Thunder started talking.)
THUNDER: Hey, do you want to go to the lion’s cave?
PIG: If it’s going to get scary, NO!
THUNDER: Scaredy pig, scaredy pig!
PIG: No way! I’m a brave pig!
NARRATOR: Then they started going to Lion’s cave. (They got lost two times but found their way back.)
NARRATOR: Now we’re in the enemy Snake Dude’s home. Snake Dude had just sneaked out the hole.
MOTHER SNAKE: Sssssnake Duuuude, oh Ssssnake Duuuude!
SNAKE DUDE: Mothers. Yes mom!
MOTHER SNAKE: Where are you going?
SNAKE DUDE: To the Lion’s cave.
MOTHER SNAKE: Fine with me as long as you do.....
SNAKE DUDE: Yeah mom I know I know!
NARRATOR: When Snake Dude got there, he heard arguing and then joined the fight.
PIG: You should get cold water...
THUNDER: ... or get your tonsils out ...
LION: Get away, or I’m going to hurt you!
SNAKE DUDE: Hey, you can’t do that to him!
NARRATOR: After a few words from Snake Dude, his mother came, and they started pouncing on Pig and Thunder.
P&T: AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NARRATOR: Soon Lion roars.
LION: ROOOOOOAAAR!
NARRATOR: ... and then there was a moment of silence.
LION: ROOOOOOAAAR! ROOOOOOAAAR!
NARRATOR: Lion wondered where his roar came from. Silly him, he coughed and groaned at the same time.
NARRATOR: Lion should have done what Pig and Thunder suggested. The next day he came crying to them trying to ask what they said again which can help him. Pig and Thunder ran away instead. Lion still has a sore throat and still roars!
LION: Poor me!
